During an 1:1 ABA session clinicians will focus on areas including:
1. Skill Acquisition
Skill acquisition goals are determined by the ABA skills assessment, and by utilizing the science of Applied Behavior Analysis a skilled clinician will help to improve skills associated with developmental norms.
2. Behavior Reduction and Replacement Behaviors
Behavior reduction goals are identified by both the BCBA and parent/caregiver during the ABA skills assessment. Once possible maladaptive behaviors are identified a treatment plan utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis methodologies is created by the BCBA and implemented by the skilled 1:1 clinician
3. Social Skills Training
Applied Behavior Analysis based methods, to increase social awareness and social interactions
